  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits or soft caramels, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt flakes (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly soft.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of sea salt flakes.
  10. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
