Description

This No Bake Grinch Pie is a creamy, mint-free white chocolate pudding pie tinted Grinchy green and tucked into a chocolatey Oreo crust. It’s fun, festive, and ridiculously easy perfect for last-minute holiday parties, movie nights, or letting the kids help in the kitchen. No oven, no stress, just pure Christmas cheer in every slice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Oreo pie crust (store-bought, 9-inch)
  • 1 box white chocolate instant pudding mix (3.9 oz)
  • 2 cups cold 2% milk
  • 1/2 container Cool Whip (about 4 oz), thawed – reserve the rest for topping if desired
  • A few drops green food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • Optional toppings:
  • Extra Cool Whip, for topping
  • Red heart sprinkles (“Grinch heart”)
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Christmas or holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Make the pudding filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the white chocolate instant pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until it thickens and no dry mix remains.
  2. Color it green: Add a few drops of green food coloring and whisk or stir until you reach a bright Grinch-green shade, adjusting drop by drop as needed.
  3. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold in about 1/2 container (4 oz) of Cool Whip with a spatula until the mixture is smooth, light, and fluffy, without deflating it too much.
  4. Fill the crust: Spoon the green filling into the Oreo pie crust. Smooth the top with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  5. Chill to set: Refrigerate the pie for at least 3–4 hours, or until fully set and sliceable. For cleaner slices and a firmer texture, chill overnight.
  6. Add toppings: Just before serving, spread or pipe the remaining Cool Whip over the top of the pie, if desired. Sprinkle red heart sprinkles in the center so it looks like the Grinch’s growing heart, then add crushed Oreos or Christmas sprinkles around the edges.
  7. Serve: Slice with a sharp knife, wiping the blade between cuts for neat slices. Serve well-chilled and enjoy the creamy, Grinchy goodness!

Notes

  • Make sure the milk is very cold so the pudding sets properly and quickly.
  • If using a homemade Oreo crust, fully chill it before adding the filling so it doesn’t crumble.
  • The color will deepen slightly as the pie chills, so err on the lighter side when adding food coloring.
  • This pie is best eaten within 2–3 days for the freshest texture and flavor.
  • Keep the pie refrigerated at all times this dessert is not suitable for sitting out for long periods.
