Description

Bring the holiday spirit to your dessert table with these Fruit Cake 7-Layer Bars! A festive twist on the classic magic cookie bars, these colorful treats combine a buttery graham cracker crust with layers of sweetened condensed milk, candied fruit, coconut, crunchy nuts, and two kinds of chocolate chips. Every bite bursts with chewy, nutty, and chocolaty holiday flavor perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup candied mixed fruit (such as cherries and pineapple)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle candied mixed fruit evenly over the condensed milk.
  5. Add shredded coconut on top of the fruit layer.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the coconut.
  7. Evenly distribute semi-sweet chocolate chips over the nuts.
  8. Finish with white chocolate chips on top for a pretty contrast.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

  1. Press the graham cracker crust firmly so it holds the layers together well after baking.
  2. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing to ensure clean cuts and set layers.
  3. For extra flavor depth, lightly toast the coconut before layering.
