  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, green onions

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Push beef to one side of the skillet. Add sesame oil, then onion, red and green bell peppers.
  4. Sauté for 4–5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, and ginger. Mix everything together and cook 2–3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
  6. Spoon cooked rice into bowls. Top with the beef and pepper mixture.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
